We all need forms for our sites. Even though Joomla provides a contact form in its basic installation, it is limited in scope and subject to SPAM unless countermeasures are taken.

Joomla Forms, by Blue Flame Ltd. is a powerful and easy to use Joomla component that allows anyone to create refined forms without having to learn how to code.

30% off Lightroom 2 with purchase of PhotoshopJoomla Forms is one of many offerings in the Joomla universe, but after trying almost all of them over the years I found them to be the best compromise between price, features, code weight and ease of use.

In this issue of 10 Minute Joomla! Tips I go over the most important features of the program. By necessity I have had to hurry up and edit many of the secondary, but still important, features of Joomla Forms.

I apologize for some of the quick edits in the podcast (due in large part to Youtube 10 minute limit). But I hope this issue will give you a good overview of the product and I encourage you to check the demo (joomla-forms.com/demo) on your own and watch the tutorials online available at: joomla-forms.com/watch-videos

Joomla Forms is certainly one of the best form components for Joomla and it's soon going to be even better with the addition of xEdit, a JQuery graphical interface that will allow anyone to build interactive forms without too much coding.

Interactive forms are the kind that change dynamically in response to user input and if there is enough interest I will dedicate a future podcast on this new "widget". Joomla Forms, as far as I know, is the first Joomla Form component that will sport this integration.
