Siteground.com is the ultimate Joomla host, with tutorials, how-to's and other goodies specifically for the Open Source customer. They have a lively community (user forums at hosting companies, including Hostgator, are usually a gripe fest of problems and complaints. Not so much at Siteground).

The reason why I don't grade Siteground on top is because their support staff has been known to tell the occasional lie and they have cost me a week of work when one of their servers blew both the regular and the backup hard drive. I am still getting over that one :)

Otherwise, they are a solid host with good features and a loyal following. Their Cpanels and plans are very good and they are a reliable host that can easily handle large websites.

Note that Siteground.com tutorials and Joomla templates are also available for non customers, so that should not be an issue for choosing them over a competitor. Siteground's Joomla templates tend to be of the older style variety, with lots of layout tables rather than pure css layouts, but depending on your use they may prove sufficient.

All in all, Siteground.com is a good choice for your Joomla (or other open source LAMP script) and they will prove a sound investment.

Where is Rochen in your review of best Joomla host?
Rochen hosts the Joomla! website and is by far the one to consider the Ultimate Joomla host! I have spent the last year and a half getting my servers to the same standards and I have to say they are the Ultimate host for Joomla sites. I would also say to take a look at www.surpasshosting.com as another top notch host for Joomla websites.

ANSWER: Unfortunately, neither I or any of my clients have had a chance to use Rochen. I only review goods and services I use myself or I use for my clients. At that I only review those that I Have had a fairly good experience with.
Bluehost is not my favorite host, but I Have hosted 4 or 5 sites there and for those that have modest requirements is not a bad host. I especially grade hosts on the type of control panel they provide (with Cpanel being the one I favor) and above all I rate them on their customer service and tech support. On those counts Bluehost was better than most I dealt with. That said, I would not a complex site there because at least back when I used them last, they didn't have a upgrade path for growing websites.

Thank you for your comments
