Duties

Job responsibilities include production of long-form healthcare features as well as maintaining expertise about healthcare issues and policy in the Sacramento region, California and nationwide. This person files for CPR’s California Capitol Network statewide news service and creates spot and feature stories for NPR and other national outlets.

Qualifications
<br>
This position requires extensive knowledge of healthcare issues, advanced reporting skills, ability to distill complex subject matters.
<br>
Applicant should have strong writing skills, a demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Windows operating system, Microsoft Office and audio editing software; have a bachelor’s degree in journalism or in related field, or equivalent work experience for at least 5 years; be able to drive.

Baseball Team Mascot (West Sacramento)
The River Cats & Raley Field are looking for a unique individual to assume the role of the River Cats Mascot, “Dinger.” This is a permanent, full time position. The successful candidate should have one or more of the following attributes:

• Lettered in a high school sport
<br>
• Have dance, gymnastic or acting experience and/or training.
<br>
• Have costume performance experience
<br>
<br>
RESPONSIBILITIES included but not limited to:
<br>
• Perform and entertain at all home games at Raley Field, team events and community appearances
<br>
• Responsible for mascot costume operations including creativity, care, cleaning, maintenance, etc.
<br>
• Manage Dinger’s calendar and scheduling of community appearances.
<br>
• Create monthly reports of Dinger’s community appearances.
<br>
• Maintain Dinger’s webpage(s) by interacting with Dinger’s friends and fans, keeping his page current and interesting with blog posts, photos and videos.
<br>
• Responsible for maximizing the quantity and quality of Dinger appearances.
<br>
• Responsible for hiring, training and management of the back- up Dinger and handlers.
<br>

QUALIFICATIONS:
<br>
• Athletic and physically fit (able to lift approximately 50 lbs.)
<br>
• Must be available to work flexible hours including all home games, some nights, and some weekends.
<br>
• Must be able to work in a costume and endure hot and humid conditions.
<br>
• Must be courteous, friendly, reliable, and punctual.
<br>
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Publisher etc.)
<br>
• Must be able to communicate nonverbally.
<br>
• Must have a great sense of humor and love working with people.
<br>
• Must have reliable transportation as well as a valid driver’s license.
<br>
• Excellent skills in interacting with others.
<br>
• Must be a great dancer.

VIDEO TECH (davis)
POSITION: Video Technician

DEPARTMENT: Production

SUMMARY: The primary purpose of this position is to edit videos submitted by the investigative staff and duplicate videotape evidence obtained during a possible fraudulent disability, liability or Workers Compensation claim on behalf of Workers Compensation, disability, liability, insurance companies, government entities, defense attorneys and third party administrators (TPA’s). Furthermore maintain the work flow of evidence through the office, backup video data, and update sensitive information on a daily basis.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Edit video footage for Next Day Video™ Service
<br>
• Answer phones and voicemail system
<br>
• Storage and back up of digital video
<br>
• Track and maintain videotape inventory
<br>
• Coordinate and manage output of video
<br>
• Operate video duplication equipment with efficiency
<br>
• Promptly handle and secure evidence
<br>
• Work under a deadline and multi-task
<br>
• Maintain workflow through the office

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Preferably, a 2-4 year college degree in multimedia, or related field
<br>
• Knowledge of Adobe Premiere, Nero Suite, Microsoft Office Suite, FTP

• Must be able to type 40+ words per minute
<br>
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents
<br>
• Exceptional written, and oral communication skills
