    Required qualifications:
    • 5+ years professional experience as a software engineer / web developer working in a collaborative team environment

    SIS is seeking candidates for a Quality Assurance Manager to play a central QA role in our work with states to implement Health Insurance Exchanges as part of the Affordable Care Act. In this role you will develop, oversee and participate in the software testing processes and procedures; help enhance functionality and utilization of the product; ensure the system meets all of the Federal and client generated requirements; and provide software testing experience to release a quality product. This role comes with considerable accountability for product quality and effective use of QA team resources. It requires a pro-active, experienced individual who understands QA and the culture of a busy, progressive technology shop.

    What We Need From You:

    • Genuine enjoyment of software testing, problem solving, and quality assurance work.
    • 3+ years of software quality assurance and/or development experience in a web-based environment.
    • Experience working in an agile development environment.
    • Experience managing testing staff and testing teams and ability to insure high quality test cases and testing performed by the QA team.
    • Ability to work independently and in teams, multitask and manage time effectively.
    • Strong problem solving and analytical skills.

  • Sr Disaster Recovery Planner - 800491 (Rancho Cordova, CA)
    The Senior Disaster Recovery Planner provides leadership and expertise in the development, maintenance and testing and implementation of domestic and international Information Technology (I/T) Disaster Recovery Programs and processes across the enterprise.
    Responsible for coordinating the development and implementation of advance arrangements, plans and procedures to ensure the IT services supporting critical business functions can resume within a predefined time frame in event of a disaster with the minimal lost of data. This responsibility includes coordinating the design, development, maintenance, and exercising (testing) of the overall disaster recovery plans for each critically designated application in the specified regional location.
    The Senior DR Planner must lead and conduct the necessary research to ensure the appropriate recovery solution is developed to meet the requirements of business, any regulatory obligations or to protect the image of the corporation.
    The recommend solution must be cost effective and technically supportable in a steady state environment. May be required to work closely with and/or lead other staff organizations such as System and Network Engineering, Application Development Programmers, Business Continuity Planners and Line of Business Coordinators. Also. may be required to develop, managed and maintain a positive external vendor relationship regarding provision of recovery services.
    The Senior DR Planner is also responsible for performing project management activities including but not limited to: development of project scope and objectives, delivery scheduled, secure approval and funding, and implementation and transition to steady state. The Senior Disaster Recovery Planner will also be responsible for providing leadership and guidance in any actual disaster recovery effort.

    * Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
    * Five or more years experience delivering projects using a standard Project Life Cycle Methodology.
    * Six to Eight years of general-related Disaster Recovery work experience
    * Advanced knowledge working with Microsoft Office applications to create Power Point presentations, Visio diagrams, Access tables and Excel spreadsheets, MS Project and utilizing Adobe Acrobat
    * Advanced technical knowledge in various technology disciplines
    * Thorough knowledge and understanding of current disaster recovery planning techniques and technologies as well as the methods used in performing risk analyses and business impact analyses.
    * Strong human relations skills to interface with managers and staff at all levels within the organization. Also to deal with outside vendor providers of disaster recovery services.
