SH404sef and pagination in Joomla and SOBI

I just recently discovered that sh404sef has a long standing bug with the Joomla and SOBI pagination system.  The pagination numbers create URLs that 404sef is unable to handle and therefore no matter what page number is clicked it will always display the same page.

I am currently researching the topic and I am trying to find a solution, but it looks like for the moment the only real fix is to change SEF component. Artio SEF, an old stanby seems to be working fine with the pagination.

It is a real pity because I have been using SH404sef almost exclusively for the past couple of years and finding this bug is very distressing.

Unfortunately, no good news so far on this topic. However, if pagination is not very critical,  a temporary fix would be to allow more entry per page in SOBI therefore eliminating the need for pagination. That's what I am doing for the site until a better solution can be found.
