How to install and configure the Joomla Content Editor - Part 1

Recently I launched a new feature on the site called "10 Minute Joomla! Tips", a series of screencasts about Joomla and web technologies. WHile learning how to use the various tools needed for the screencast I generated a lot of video tutorials on a variety of subjects. Some are actually pretty good but for one reason or another they are not suitable for the 10MJT screencasts. In this case I created a comprehensive tutorial on how to install and configure JCE, the Joomla Content Editor.

Unfortunately, once I was done with it I realized it was way too long. Even broken into 10 minutes chunks it's more of an epic than a "10 minute Joomla Tips" edition.

However, the content in it is sound, even if it lacks some polish and the pauses and speech have been only roughly edited. I am sure anyone looking to learn how to install and cofigure the JCE would find this tutorial interesting and even useful.

In a bit I will post "Part 2" which will show how to use the JCE in your Joomla Content.

Enjoy.

Update: Part 2 is now available here.
