Set up Free shipping and Meta Tags in Virtuemart - Video Screencast

This is a quick tutorial I made for a client on how to set up the free shipping option in Virtuemart. It also covers coupons and meta tags. It's not as polished as my 10 minutes Joomla! Tips series but I would like to share it in case anyone is interested in the topic.

I have a lot more videos I create for my clients and if this is well received I'll make sure to post the others as well regularly.

Note on the video: Finally I found out what the problem was: Screencast.com stopped playing the video after my account bandwidth maxed out. I managed to download the video and I am now broadcasting it from vimeo.com. It should work fine from now on. I am very sorry for all the trouble.

Update on Virtuemart Meta tags

I have been doing a lot of research on Virtuemart Met tags. Especially the mets description tag. Turns out that Virtuemart uses the "Short Description field for the Meta Description regardless of Sh404. (You learn a new one every day...) So be aware of how you write the Short Description. It's more important than I thought.

As far as the Meta keywords, I believe the SH404 does write those using its plugin.
FYI, the <meta Description> tag is what Google shows next to a search result so it serves many purposes, not just SEO but it's important also to give a preview to a user searching with Google.

More types of coupons

Thank you for your helpful video about creating coupons in Virtuemart. I have a question about another type of coupon though.
For purchases in our store we send customers gift cards from Network for Good in an amount equal to a percentage of the total spent -- a sort of rebate that can be redeemed as a charitable donation -- so that they can donate a percentage of their purchase to the cause of their choice. I would like to run promotions where I offer customers a larger percentage of their purchases for charitable donation. Is there a way to do that?

ANSWER: I am sorry you couldn't watch the video. I am guessing you may be missing something in your browser or somehow I screwed up the permissions for it.
