SupportOurTroops.org is one of Conticreative's "Charter" clients. We are currently in a long term contract with the association as permanent technical consultant and web developers.

The SupportOurTroops.org website is actually three different websites into one. Beside the main website area we are in the process of launching an e-commerce website and we have developed a private website for strategic partners.

Some of the Support Our Troops features are:

• Community Area with user profiles
• User Blogs with RSS and podcasting capabilities
• User Home Pages (each user can request a space of up to 7 pages to post their own photographs, writings, podcasts, videos, etc.)
• Industrial strength newsletter system
• Several News system for the prompt publishing of latest news of interest to the membership
• Individual US States Home pages and news areas.
• and much more.

The Support Our Troops website is a work in progress that is likely to change and evolve as the association grows but it is a great example of a non-profit oriented website.

From the design standpoint, we designed the site starting from a very dated, home spun template originally coded with MS Frontpage. Slowly we have been able to update many of the design elements in order to keep the site looking familiar to the existing users yet trying to provide a more modern experience to new users. That consisted in getting rid of many old fashioned design elements and a good number of poorly done Flash based animations.

The site is slated to get a major face lift in the coming new year coinciding with the release of more advanced community features.
