Saqui & Raimondo's SRlaborLaw.com is a full featured and highly customized website developed in Joomla.

Saqui & Raimondo is a young and dynamic Law Firm specializing in Labor issue for some of the largest firms in California.

The site main feature, beside the advanced news area that is a regular Joomla feature, is a very advanced Newsletter System completely integrated in the Joomla back end. This Newsletter system allows for ease of use while providing world class features such as the ability to send newsletters automatically upon the creation of a new article, an advanced "opt-in" sign up system and the integration with the Community Builder component, allowing for the capture of custom data beyond the usual "Name and Email" sign in process.

SRlaborLaw.com contacted us after a displeasing experience with a previous developer, whom built for them a CMS that did not work as intended.  A CMS only in name, the old system forced the SR Labor Law staff to publish their news in MS Word document format that users had to download to read. In addition, the original template was fashioned out of dated HTML that taxed the site SEO and accessibility.

We took the original template and kept the graphic treatment while converting the JavaScript based graphical menu into an accessible CSS based version. We also broke out of the table based layout by designing a CSS based template that is both elegant, accessible and Search Engine friendly while keeping the same look and feel of the old template.

As with every site we develop, we also created a clone of the site in an internal directory to allow the staff of the Law Firm to continue practicing their publishing skills without risking the integrity of the main website.

The site took about 10 days of development, including the transfer of some 30 different news articles. We also developed, together with the Saqui & Raimondo staff a workflow for processing MS Word documents into clean and compliant HTML files that are easily inserted into the custom Joomla text editor we installed on the site. This new system avoids the translation errors frequent with MS Word document and takes mere minutes as opposed to the tens of minutes of the previous system.
